Tapestry

A thread is moved through cloth with the help of a needle, plunk into the fabric, pull through, plunk, pull.  Slowly, a design takes shape among the thread and colors.  On the front of the fabric, the pattern is there, and each stitch is cleanly in its place.  On the back of the fabric, there are the knots, small tangles, loops and little messes.

If you could have a tapestry that reflected this day, which side would you be looking at?  Would you focus on the side where the patterns are beautifully shown or the tangled and messy part?  When one thing goes wrong during the day, pulling the thread tightly on the back, and leaving it a bit tangled – do you focus on this or on what else is going on?
